Best of Angel
Re-thinking the UX of this startup pitching & mentoring platform.
Best of Angel is a platform for startups and entrepreneurs to build solid project pitches. The site invites users to build their pitch incrementally and receive feedback from authoritative sources as they go.
Gather Intel
Since Best of Angel had already a prototype online when i cam aboard the project, i was lucky to have access to user data and feedback on the site. I noticed some repeating patterns in the user's behavior, comments and feedback. With the data i gathered, i began to extract insights and moved on to the planning phase.
Back to the drawing board
One of the first conclusion of the initial due diligence was that we had to challenge many of the assumptions made on the prototype. That meant re-thinking the IA, focus on creating the right atmosphere by creating and experience, copy and design that transmitted that.
A friendly mentor
Working closely with the BoA team, I've drafted suggested copy to set a amicable tone in the whole site. I've also aimed at conveying this friendly mentor personality with the design, color, images and the different labels, section names and contents of the site.
